Two days after Ram Gopal Varma tweeted about the big news, 'Khaidi' remake, Puri Jagannad followed it up on Twitter to broadcast official confirmation.He said the idea was indeed being worked out by him and Mahesh.
Puri revealed, "This idea originated in my brain about three years back.Initial plan was to make the movie with Ram charan , but later when i spoke with Mahesh babu, he said OK for the project. Since we both admire Chiranjeevi, the idea took shape in us".
He also said Khaidi is one of his favorite films. The cult film, which stands as a milestone in chiranjeevi's career was directed by Kodandarami reddy."Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is scheduled to start after Business man.Soon after that Khaidi remake will go onto sets" added Puri.
Experts believe that Ram Charan would have been the ideal choice, to avoid any blame games later on.Fans are already upset with the news.Mega Fans always imagined Mega Power Star Ram Charan Tej in his father's magnum opus Khaidi.But Puri Jagannad have different plans.
Though the comparisons are inevitable, Mahesh has the caliber to match up to the Chiranjeevi's performance.Puri's characterization will anyways be great strength to the movie.
